Case 01 · Statement of facts

Mr Krüger has been waiting since 1987.
Today is your first day.

In the basement of the town hall of Kleinkleckersdorf there is a mountain. Not an ordinary mountain – a mountain of files. Somewhere inside lies the one application a citizen has been waiting on for decades.

Your job: find it, check it, stamp it. Your tools: two hands, a pair of reading glasses and a rubber stamp. In first person you dig your way through the mountain – every folder can be grabbed, thrown, stacked and read. Slopes slide, avalanches roll.

Each case lists features: folder colour, department, year, coffee stain. Searching becomes deducing. Everything that isn’t the application gets filed properly, sold or put on display. Because: order must be maintained.

An affectionate satire of German bureaucracy. No violence, family friendly – and all offices, people and places are entirely fictional.

Case 02 · Job description

Your official duties

First-person view: two hands reaching into the mountain of files, folders whirling through the air.§ 1

Physics-based digging

A mountain of 100,000 files – and every single one flies. Dig too deep and the slope gives way. Barrier tape helps only so much.

A file sheet with file number, department, folder colour and a red APPROVED stamp.§ 2

Read, check, stamp

File number, year, department, coffee stain: does it all match the case? Then APPROVED. Beware of decoy files with tiny mistakes.

A colourful filing tower collapses in a filing tray.§ 3

The filing tower

Filing by department earns money. Stacking higher earns more – until the tower topples and the pot is gone. Cash in early or push your luck?

A LEGENDARY find card: the Original Form Template.§ 4

Finds & Kramer

Paper clips, a garden gnome, a love letter from 1975, the Original Form Template: 56 collectibles. Trader Kramer buys almost anything – depending on his mood.

A furnished office with a red carpet, a meeting table, a sofa and plants.§ 5

Your own office

Rubber plant, aquarium, wingback chair: furnish your office, fill the collection cabinets and climb the ranks. New tools are waiting at procurement.

A festively decorated registry office with a flower arch in front of a mountain of files.§ 6

11 cases, 6 offices

From the basement archive to the ministry – every office with its own look, its own people and its own case types. Then the endless mode takes over.
